About the Music:
Featuring the sultry voice of Sarah Saul, The Saultry Trio's jazzy and soulful take on pop tunes and jazz standards has found appeal with a wide variety of audiences.  Drawing from the last four decades of pop music, as well as jazz standards and music from the American Songbook, our unique acoustic interpretations span the gap between something familiar and something new, and is sure to provide something for everyone.  From an intimate duo setting, to a trio or a more energetic quartet format, we can tailor the volume and energy level of our music to suit your venue and event.

About the Players:
Providing the focal point for the band, Sarah Saul leads the trio with her rich, soulful voice.  A Portland native raised in a musical family, Sarah is a natural born musician who brings an instinct for harmony, timing, and interpretation to everything she sings.  Sarah became a member of the Oregon Bar in 2018 and has enjoyed practicing law in Corvallis.

Ken Cofield, on bass, provides the foundation for the group's sound.  With over twenty years experience in the Pacific Northwest's blues scene, Ken has a solid sense of rhythm and an uncanny ability to play almost anything by ear.  An overachieving commuter, he resides in Albany and on I-5.

The group's guitarist, Paul Chenard, took his first accordion lesson at the age of 8, and played several different instruments before finally settling on the jazz guitar.  A  Corvallis resident, he has performed in numerous jazz combos, big bands, and theatre pit bands.  He can fix almost anything and is nice to animals.
